Description

Cofield’s Pinot Noir Chardonnay, awarded Best Sparkling Wine in North East Victoria and Best Overall Wine with King Valley grapes at the 2023 North East Victorian Wine Challenge, represents the culmination of decades of family winemaking expertise. While the Cofield family has worked Victoria’s vineyards for over a century, Max Cofield was the first to release a PNC under his own name when he established Cofield Wines in 1990. The style of this wine was first explored in experimental batches with his father, and in 2012, favourable conditions allowed the production of the opulent yet elegant sparkling wine we see today.

Crafted from premium King Valley fruit, this sparkling wine has undergone 10 years of aging on yeast lees, giving it remarkable depth and complexity. The nose is enticing with aromas of nougat, freshly baked goods, and roasted hazelnut, while the palate is full-bodied and complex, offering vibrant lemon and lime flavours. A crisp, dry finish combined with refreshing acidity makes this wine a masterful expression of both patience and precision in traditional sparkling winemaking.
