Premium chardonnay fruit was sourced from our friends at Antonello Vineyard, Buffalo Creek, Alpine Valley to create this wine.

The grapes underwent fermentation in carefully selected 2nd and 3rd use French oak barrels, imparting subtle nuances from the seasoned wood. A portion of these barrels saw fermentation on full solids, contributing to a luscious texture and sulphide complexity that adds a layer of intrigue to the wine. The other barrels were fermented as racked/clean juice for more expressive aromatics. This duality in fermentation techniques intertwines the richness of fruit with the subtleties of oak.

The wines then spent 12 months maturing, which gives depth and character, before being racked to stainless steel tanks.

The result is a Chardonnay with an expressive nose of tropical and citrus fruit, integrated with more subtle notes of almond meal, nutmeg and nougat. The palate has a lean and linear core, enhanced by subtle texture and a saline mineral finish.
