Cancer Centre Wine Fundraiser

Since 2012, Cofield Wines have held the Pink Pedal Party in November to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. In the early years, funds were raised for the Breast Cancer Foundation, and more recently the Karen Cofield Memorial, where funds support local breast cancer nurses.

Karen Cofield was the beloved Mum of current winery owner, Damien. Karen passed away from breast cancer in February 2017 after many years of living with the disease.

Due to the challenges of 2020, and not being able to hold the Pink Pedal Party, we wanted to find a different way to hold a fundraiser. This was where the idea was born to collaborate with a local artist to create an artwork that could be then turned into a label for a limited release wine.

Further to the challenges of 2020, it has also reminded us of how imperative it is that we support local business and our community as much as possible. Hence choosing the funds raised from this project to go to the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund.

Money raised from these wines goes towards helping families in the region whose lives have been impacted by cancer. This means funding new life-saving equipment, staff training and development, world-class research and the Wellness Centre.
