The Rutherglen Winery Walkabout is just around the corner (Queens Birthday weekend June 7 & 8 2008) and as always, there is heaps happening in Rutherglen and especially at Cofield Wines.
Cofield's are heralding the festivities with our traditional 'Sparkling Burgundy Breakfasts' on Saturday and Sunday. Kick start your day with a three course brekky, with our Sparkling Shiraz, of course and other Cofield gems. The breakfasts are always a popular way to start the Walkabout festivities. If you are coming to Cofield's over the Walkabout weekend, make sure you come out to the Reserve Tasting Area ($5 entry, Cofield's Cellar Circle members free), where our Senior Winemaker, Damien Cofield, will be offering some of his favourites from the cellar, as well as a barrel tasting of last years finest drop. Sweet Ava fans won't be disappointed with the release of the 2008 Sweet Ava, just follow the pink fairy floss to the tasting area!
Plenty happening outside our cellar door too! Sit back and enjoy the tunes belted out by Sly Dog and the Howlers or browse through the produce tents while you consider which of the Pickled Sisters Café offerings will satisfy your cravings?..
On the Sunday night, Cofield's are hosting the black tie 'North East Feast' on behalf of the Winemakers of Rutherglen. A wonderful opportunity to sample regional produce, dinner will be prepared by three renown local chefs and will feature some of the best wines of the region. A top night guaranteed.
